Atul Auto Ltd started making rickshaws (locally called 'chhakada') in the region of Saurashtra in the 1970s. The first examples were crude conversions unsing a motorcycle front end, but quickly Atul became one of the larger three-wheeler manufacturers in India. Petrol engines were soon joined by diesel, CNG and LPG alternatives. At the time of writing, the range consisted of three- and six-passenger rickshaws in three model ranges: Gem Paxx, Shakti and Shakti Smart. The latter was powered by an 8bhp four-stroke single-cylinder 395cc engine, but the others came with a 435cc unit developing 7.5bhp; CNG and LPG versions hat 275cc engines. --Buch-t (Diskussion) 13:23, 7. - Zwei m. E. gravierende Fehler: Gegründet wurde Atul Auto 1986, nicht in den 1970ern. Eine peinlich verschwiegene Erstgründung? Glaube ich nicht. Zweitens ist "one of the larger three-wheeler manufacturers" höchstens sehr, sehr relativ betrachtet richtig. Siehe Marktanteile auf Autorikscha. Er ist einer der am schnellsten wachsenden Hersteller, das ja. Der Artikel auf EN-WP ist von 2014, der umseitige Artikel ist erst wenige Wochen alt (und von mir). Roxedl Disk 14:26, 7.
