Thersites

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

It is worth noting that Shakespeare's treatment of Thersites in Troilus and Cressida parallels that of Wolff's treatment in Troja. As a Shakespeare scholar, Wolff's funny bone may have been tickled by the commonalities between Bäumer / "Kat" in Remarque and Thersites in Shakespeare. Perhaps this was even the impetus to write the parody; at any rate, the point will not have escaped Wolff. --2A01:CB0C:CD:D800:D987:899A:3E01:2296 11:42, 30. Okt. 2022 (CET)Beantworten
